The show opened with a giant flag the size of the entire back of the stage dropping while we all pledged allegiance. Mark Kano of Athenaeum then sang the National Anthem.....not a dry eye in the house. I am tearing up just writing this...
3 Doors Down, The Crystal Method, Dave Navarro, Athenaeum, The Fixx, American Hi-Fi, Nickelback, Good Charlotte, Stroke 9, Seven Channels...Poe and Prime STH were scheduled to appear but because of all the airport shutdowns, were unable to make it. Angie Aparo and Butch Walker filled their spots on amazingly short notice.

The show opened with a tribute to the true heroes of 9/11.....fire, medic, and police were all represented on the stage. The colors were presented, a brief prayer was read by a non-denominational minister, and we all said the pledge of allegiance. Brent from Shinedown then sang the National Anthem to open up the main stage!!! Again, not a dry eye in the house!!!!
